At the BRYCK Startup Alliance Hackathon, you'll work with industry experts, founders, and investors to develop the next steps for your project. No endless coding nights, no finished startup required—it's all about putting early concepts to the test in the real world.

The BRYCK Startup Alliance Hackathon is a two-day on-site event for individual students, researchers, doctoral candidates, and teams with initial business ideas. If you want to find out what your ideas can become beyond scientific papers or pitch decks, this is the place for you.

In roundtables, one-on-one discussions, and interactive working sessions with peers, founders, experts, and investors, you will reflect on potential use cases and the relevance of your results outside of science.

Ideas from the following fields of innovation are particularly sought after:

  • Chemistry & Materials
  • Energy & Water
  • Prop Tech
  • Personalized Medicine
  • Secure & Intelligent Systems

Program Outcomes – What you will take away:

The event is a joint initiative of the Technical University of Dortmund, the Ruhr University Bochum, and the University of Duisburg-Essen as part of the BRYCK Startup Alliance.
